+ Design Process
From the first point of contact to the beginning of construction
- At the first point of contact we will discuss your project with you and collect as much information as we can about what you are looking for. Please read our useful information on how to approach your project Before You Call
- From here we will arrange for a team member to meet you on site to discuss the design and look of your project and the materials you wish to use (if you have any preferences) etc.
- We will send you a quote - usually within 1 to 2 weeks
- When you have accepted our quote, we will immediately arrange for our draftsman to visit you on site who will then create your plans (if required). Usually at this stage, once we receive the plans we will forward them on to you for approval with a contract to sign and an invoice for deposit
- When the plans are complete and you are satisfied with them, we then submit them
to be certified and Qld Deck Co. will pay the standard certification fees (included as part
of our quote). If any special relaxations etc are required, these are on-charged at cost to the client - On approval, we then contact the Building Services Authority and pay the compulsory construction insurance premium (included as part of our quotes)
- Once this is paid, the certifier will release the plans back to us and construction is authorised to begin immediately!
+ Please Note
If you already have plans and require them to be approved we can submit them for you and pay all standard application fees as part of our quote. Please advise us if you have plans that need to be approved.
If your plans have been certified we can use these to begin constructions once a contract has been signed with us.
If your project does not require plans, we will begin construction once a contract has
been signed.
We take great care in ensuring that our clients’ plans are drawn up and approved as efficiently as possible, still aiming to provide the highest quality service and keeping our clients’ best interests at heart.
